After being featured on CSS Mania, We Love WP, and other design sites, all of which pump thousands of new visitors into this blog, exposing thousands of new ears to our music, it’s a good time to talk a little about what powers Enormous Reloaded, and how we use social media to drive the business behind the music.

As you have already figured out, we blog.

We blog using Wordpress and are hosted with AN Hosting. The blog is split into a number of categories and split into three main sections, Davy’s Blog, Spit Valve, and everything else.

Everything else, all the other categories, make up the bulk of Enormous Reloaded. Davy’s Blog is a place for Enormous front man to open up in public. Spit Valve is my own section, dealing with some of the business aspects of running a successful band. The post you are reading now is under the Spit Valve category and is written by me, Ashley Morgan, jazz musician, blogger and Enormous trumpet player.

If you poke around you will see that the design isn’t quite finished, some of the links don’t work, and things, whilst polished in places, look a little ramshackle in others.

So how did we reach the point where we appeared on the radar of the high end design blogs? And, more importantly to many of you, how are we, as an independent band, managing to get our music out their to an increasing number of people in an increasingly saturated market?

The answer lies in the automation of social media.

We blog, as I have already mentioned, and if there are any musicians out there who don’t blog then, frankly, they need their heads examined.

We also use Twitter. Automated, of course.

And that is where the pieces of the puzzle start to fit into place. Enormous use a Twitter method called Twitter Fireball. Twitter Fireball drives followers, grows an audience, generates publicity, builds passive income, and makes breakfast. Ok, so it doesn’t make breakfast, but it does all the other things. In reality it’s strikingly simple. We blog, we Twitter, we use Twitter Fireball.

Of course, we also write and play music, without which all of this would be pretty pointless.
